Montreal based director and photographer Anne Kmetyko is a graduate of the Image Arts Program of Ryerson University and an alumna of the Television Directing Program at L’Institut de l’Image et du Son (L’INIS) and obtained her diploma in Journalism from Concordia University, and she was selected among eight women directors across Canada for the Women In the Director’s Chair (WIDC) program at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity, powered by NBCUniversal.

Anne’s photographs have been published in numerous newspapers, magazines, and books and shown in exhibitions locally and abroad including The Montreal High Lights Festival and the Unesco sponsored event “I Read Montreal”. Her photography is focused in portraits and editorial.

In 2009 Anne’s film The Cat in the Pan screened at The Montréal World Film Festival and in 2010 at Les Rendez-Vous du Cinéma Québecois as well as at The Clermont-Ferrand Film market in France.

In 2013 she wrote, produced and directed two shorts, the documentary Etched in Skin and the fiction Truths and Liars, which both screened at The Montréal World Film Festival in August 2013 and at The Clermont-Ferrand Film market in 2014.

Etched in Skin was selected to screen in official competition at Cinequest24 in San José, California in March 2014.

Anne is in development with a dramatic feature film The Space Between (working title).
