Alumni Development Accelerator (ADA)

A 30th Anniversary Activity – the WIDC Alumni Development Accelerator (ADA) creates a space for WIDC alumni to build community, connect with industry, share experiences, develop skills and their screen projects.

WIDC aims to host 10 x ADA Salons* in the coming months, along with in-person networking events at TIFF and Whistler Film Festival. All Alumni Directors are welcome; first come first served when space is limited.

*If you have an idea for a Salon topic or would like to suggest an expert to invite, please share with us at directors@widc.ca

ADA will also assist WIDC in maintaining the Alumni Directory and provide travel and lodging support for Alumni Award recipeints.

Help shape the future of women and non-binary directors in our industry.

Heels on Reels is an initiative led by The Transformation Institute for Leadership and Innovation, in collaboration with Pinnacle Connection, and supported by Women and Gender Equality Canada.

Join us at this special WIDC 30th Anniversary online forum with Heels on Reels project lead, Patricia Bebia who will share key findings from their national research initiative. The forum will also provide space for your input into the gaps to access and solutions for women and non-binary screen directors.

Your voice will help further shape recommendations to funders, festivals, studios, and policymakers.
